SEEBURGER Upgrades B2B Gateway for SAP Users

New Version Enhances Connectivity with SAP Applications and NetWeaver,

Refines Trading Partner Enablement for Smaller Partners 

 

 

ORLANDO, FL (May 17, 2006) — SEEBURGER Inc. today announced an upgrade to its B2B Gateway that brings broad new connectivity and trading partner enablement capabilities to SAP users.  The enhancements, announced at SAPPHIRE® ’06, extend SEEBURGER’s ability to integrate seamlessly with any SAP platform, leverage the newest SAP technologies including NetWeaver and the Enterprise Services Architecture (ESA), and electronically enable smaller trading partners that still do business on paper. 

The SEEBURGER B2B Gateway is a comprehensive business integration solution that automates trading relationships throughout the supply chain.  Enhancements designed specifically for SAP users include:

  • Expanded NetWeaver and SAP application connectivity, including the ability to take advantage of newer SAP Exchange Infrastructure-enabled services interfaces included in the latest releases of SAP’s Supply Chain Management and Supplier Relationship Management applications.
  • Message tracking portals that extend SEEBURGER’s previous trading partner management and EDI translation capabilities by enabling users to instantly determine whether purchase orders, invoices and other trading documents have been sent or delivered to external business partners.
  • Upgraded Hub & Spoke enablement for smaller trading partners,   making it possible to link customers and suppliers that are not electronically enabled to the SEEBURGER B2B Gateway. The Spoke is a small downloadable Java application that allows the smaller partner to do translation, communication and back-end system integration.

 

The Hub & Spoke upgrade increases support for SAP’s orders-to-cash and procure-to-pay capabilities by enabling more customers and suppliers to be connected electronically.  This in turn reduces manual data entry and paper transactions.

The upgraded SEEBURGER B2B Gateway is available immediately with SAP adapters that either connect externally or are embedded in the SAP NetWeaver technology stack.  It is fully ESA-capable and works with all SAP applications including SAP Business One, mySAP All-in-One and SAP R/3 to serve the needs of SAP customers of all sizes.
