SEEBURGER Opens Two Competency Centers Offering Services for SAP® XI, Extending Its Role As a Global Consultancy Focused on SAP Solutions
Global Practice Builds on SAP Partnership, 20 Years of Business Integration Expertise
BOSTON (May 17, 2005) SEEBURGER Inc. today announced at SAPPHIRE® 05 the opening of two global competency centers dedicated to assisting SAP customers in evaluating and implementing the SAP® Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI) component of the SAP NetWeaver platform. The facilities, located in the U.S. and Germany, leverage SEEBURGERs position as a global provider of integration services for SAP XI, its close partnership with SAP AG, and its nearly 20 years of specializing in EDI, EAI and B2B integration solutions for more than 6,500 mid-market and top-tier enterprises around the world.
Moving beyond the implementation services that SEEBURGER has offered for SAP solutions during the last several years, the competency centers offer a suite of packaged services that include an analysis of a clients existing integration architecture, an evaluation of the potential benefits of utilizing SAP XI in their current and future IT landscape, and deployment of SAP XI in pilot and/or production environments. The services are:
Assessment
SEEBURGER offers three options for evaluating the clients current integration architecture. The Strategic Assessment addresses the clients top five business goals, analyzes how the existing EAI/B2B approach supports or impedes those goals, and provides short-, mid-, and long-term recommendations to align the technology and business strategies. The Focus Assessment looks at a specific EAI or B2B challenge or goal, and the Performance Assessment addresses specific performance or throughput problems for any component in the clients integration architecture. This last option also includes an evaluation of overall scalability, reliability, extensibility, and security issues that affect the Total Cost of Ownership.
Adaptation
This offering evaluates the potential benefits of utilizing SAP XI in the clients current and future IT environment. The report will include a comparison of the current architecture versus SAP XI, allowing clients to build out the appropriate ROI and timelines to adapt to the evolving technology landscape.
Implementation
SEEBURGER offers full implementation services for SAP XI, from project management to technical architecture, for both pilot and production environments. The team is an industry leader in implementations of the SAP Exchange Infrastructure, with more than 35 global SAP XI implementations for firms such as
HUGO BOSS, Norske Skog, SPAR and SupplyOn. This gives SAP clients access to over two years of lessons learned, installation best practices, and a global B2B/EDI business content repository to further ensure a sustainable and cost-effective implementation.
SEEBURGERs expertise with SAP XI reflects its long-standing relationship with SAP and its customers. SEEBURGER has served as an advisor with SAP since SAP XI Release 1.0 was released in 2003, was one of the first partners to be trained on SAP XI, and was tapped to provide EDI and B2B industry solutions for SAP XI in a global arrangement involving the embedding of SEEBURGER adapters in the SAP NetWeaver technology stack.
We have extensive experience with SAP XI, and our new competency centers will allow us to share our knowledge with SAP customers to enable them to properly evaluate and migrate existing integration infrastructures to SAP XI, said Scott Lewin, president of SEEBURGER US. This fills a services void in the marketplace and makes it possible for enterprises that use SAP as their core application provider to vastly simplify internal and external application connectivity and information flow.
