Bretten, Germany - The members of the SEEBURGER Supervisory Board with the Chairwoman Professor Dr. Simone Zeuchner, her deputy Katrin Seeburger and Ralph Jacoby were unanimously re-elected at this year's Annual General Meeting in October. The term of office of the existing Supervisory Board was thus extended by a further five years, helping to ensure the continuity of the company's successful development.
Continuity in management positions continues to be a key factor in the dynamic development of the company. Commenting on the extension of the mandates, company founder and main shareholder Bernd Seeburger said: "The company has developed continuously and successfully in recent years, to which the successful work of the Supervisory Board has made an important contribution. We want to continue this". Prof. Dr. Simone Zeuchner, who was re-elected Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, agreed with this: "We have almost doubled our sales in the last five years and created 350 new jobs. For the second year in succession, SEEBURGER AG recorded the most successful year in its corporate history in 2019. We continue to focus on healthy, sustainable and value-oriented growth. This can only succeed with our highly motivated and committed employees. They all contribute to securing the economic future of the company on a daily basis".
Continuity continues to apply to the Management Board of SEEBURGER AG. Axel Haas, Co-CEO and member of the Management Board for 18 years, explained: "Especially in the current times of economic crisis triggered by the pandemic, we see how important it is for us as a company to consistently pursue our successful medium- and long-term strategy. We continue to rely on the vast experience of our Supervisory Board, which is also an important advisor to us in these turbulent times".
Simone Zeuchner, Professor of Organisational Development is an experienced supervisory and advisory board member who has been a member of the Executive Board of the Professional Association of Financial Experts on Supervisory Boards (FEA e.V.) for nine years. She is also the owner of the Corporate Governance Academy. Here, she supports young junior shareholders in particular, but also senior management and committee members in their special roles in family businesses.
Katrin Seeburger has been working as a primary and secondary school teacher as well as a school headmaster in the subjects of mathematics, history and social studies since her studies at the Karlsruhe University of Education. She represents the founding family on the supervisory board and stands for the family's commitment to the future of the company.
Ralph Jacoby heads the entrepreneurial consultancy Jacoby & Cie. AG, which specialises in assisting medium-sized companies. After working for Porsche, Bosch and the family office of Thurn und Taxis, the industrial engineer developed the former Bertrandt design office into one of the leading listed engineering partners to the automotive industry. In addition to managing his own company, he holds seats on the advisory and supervisory boards of upper medium-sized companies.
