Automotive supplier Peguform, a manufacturer of large plastic parts, has updated its IT landscape to state of the art with help from SEEBURGER. In the context of migration to SAP R/3, Peguform connected more than 50 in-house applications with its SAP system via the SEEBURGER Business Integration Server (BIS). A central message tracking system ensures the necessary transparency and enables Peguform to maintain an at-a-glance overview of the message flow.
Communication with business partners has taken on a new dimension too. Instead of running separate EDI systems at each location, Peguform decided to consolidate EDI functionality on the central SEEBURGER platform. In a second step, data interchange in the time-critical JIT/JIS environment is to be managed centrally via the Business Integration Server. OEMs as a rule prefer a decentral EDI landscape, but in the final analysis the SEEBURGER solution’s stability and failsafe mode convinced Peguform’s partners too. The company now has an exemplary infrastructure for collaborative processes.
