Bretten – Computerwoche, one of the most eminent and widely read computer magazines in Germany, has awarded cloud developer, SEEBURGER, with its Best-in-Cloud Award.
In its second annual award, this premier journal bestowed its distinctive honor – in the category of Best Business Idea of 2012 – upon SEEBURGER, ahead of companies such as SAP and Deutsche Telekom.
This award is unique because it examines successful implementations of cloud products in German businesses. The jury does not merely compare product features and benefits but reviews how the products are actually used in daily work environments.
Competitors in this competition had to show a balance of exceptional customer value and solid leverage to an underlying cloud IaaS, PaaS or SaaS. With its cloud solution for the utilities market data exchange, SEEBURGER was able to impress its customer, VOLTARIS, as well as the jury.
The utilities market is one of the most time-critical trading markets. SEEBURGER uses their decades of B2B integration knowledge combined with an extraordinary understanding of the energy industry to offer services that provide solid functionality and efficiency. The result is true cloud economics. The real innovation is that SEEBURGER can help utility companies fulfill all their legal requirements without expensive and expansive implementations.
“We are very proud of this award,” Bernd Seeburger, CEO, SEEBURGER AG., said “because it reflects our commitment in the utilities industry.”
In addition to new developments such as the utility cloud, SEEBURGER is also engaged in other cloud research projects including the Peer Energy Cloud Project for the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
