What you experience and learn in the company:
You will go through several areas where you will gain technical and commercial experience.
Your daily tasks include:
- Technical content such as procuring hardware and software, databases, network and system settings, planning network structures or installing IT systems.
- Commercial content such as drawing up contracts, negotiating contracts, establishing and maintaining customer contacts or processing service requests.
What you learn at the vocational school:
1 - 2 days per week, in addition to the general education subjects German, English and social studies, the subjects economics, business administration, software application and development, and information and telecommunications systems technology are taught.

- Customer service and determination of requirements

Consulting:
- Implementation of customer projects
- Presentation and implementation of new updates
- General customer consulting and support regarding technical issues
- Implementation of and participation in customer and internal workshops
Support:
- Acceptance and forwarding of customer telephone inquiries
- Recording of new support cases and assistance in problem solving
- Support of customers with the partner connection
- Maintenance of customer data

Practical phases:
During the varied practical phases of your studies, you will work in the various areas of development and research. Accompanied by a personal mentor, you will focus on extending existing applications or developing completely new solutions.
In addition to various programming languages such as Java, Python or Javascript, you will gain insights into the most important products at SEEBURGER and get to know our development process.
In our research department, you can get an insight into the latest technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain. If you enjoy internet technologies and designing interfaces, you can gain experience with Angular and VAADIN.
Theory phases:
The mathematical and scientific subjects in the basic studies provide a solid foundation for the training in Theoretical, Practical and Technical Computer Science.
One focus of the education is network and software technology. Knowledge, skills and experience with programming languages, standard software, networks and client-server systems are acquired in laboratories and exercises.
The subject-related studies are supplemented by Technical English and by events such as learning and working techniques as well as rhetoric and presentation techniques. Projects give students the opportunity to put their specialist knowledge to the test in practice and to train in teamwork.
