11:00 Break
11:15 Breakout Sessions
Session 1: Implement APIs with Full API Lifecycle Management – (Technical)
In this session, we run a typical API lifecycle project in a sandbox. In a role play we demonstrate how this work including all relevant stakeholders of an API project. We have prepared a scenario in which we simultaneously present the view of both an API Publisher and an API Consumer. After this role play, you will have a solid understanding where API projects differ from projects using other integration styles.
Session 2: Technical and Business-driven Use Cases for API Integration and API Management – (Business)
What's driving the usage of APIs? We will walk through the most important use cases and business-driven initiatives where APIs play a significant role as an integration style. Based on our experience and lessons learned from our customers, we discuss how integration teams contribute using solutions for API integration and API management to make such initiatives successful.
12:15 Lunch
13:15 Breakout Sessions
Session 3: API Security – Best Practices – (Technical)
In the sense of APIs and an API-driven design you must be aware and address the most common security threads. Learn about the most critical security threats and understand who a thought-through API solution contributes to prevent such threads from your organization.
Session 4: How to Implement and Integrate APIs with your Backend? – (Business)
It is a huge challenge for integration teams to implement and integrate APIs with their existing IT infrastructure. Most of the systems and applications are not API-ready and require the usage of different integration styles to make this happen. In addition, it is very often required to orchestrate integration processes to implement or integrate API-based interfaces. Self-coding and individual programming to do this in an efficient, governed way and to execute fast. Learn from our project experiences in the context of so-called API facading and requirements of heavy lifting.
14:15 Break
14:30 Forum Discussion with all Presenters of the Day
Feel free to discuss with Oliver Rupprecht from OSRAM and all presenters of the two day sessions and learn and experience. Be curious and ask questions about further details on all the sessions you have attended. All presenters will be on the stage to answers all your questions.
